Privacy Policy
How we handle the personal data you entrust to us when you visit the site and request a quote. Last updated: 2 November 2026.
Data controller

We process data under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), which applies because we also serve patients living in the European Union, and under Albanian personal data protection law.
What data we process
- Contact details: name, email, phone/WhatsApp
- Health information you choose to send us: messages, smile photos, panoramic X-rays, 3D CT scans and other records, sent by email or WhatsApp
- The page you send the form from and, if you arrive from one of our ads, the campaign you came from (parameters such as utm_source or gclid)
- Technical data logged by our hosting provider (IP address, date and time, browser) for security and abuse prevention
- Only with your consent, browsing data collected with Google and Meta cookies (see the Cookie Policy)
Why we process it and on what basis
- To answer your request, assess your case and prepare your quote and treatment plan: steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
- To process the health data you send us: your explicit consent, given by ticking the box in the form or by sending us your records on WhatsApp or by email (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing already carried out
- To organise your treatment, trip, hotel and transfers if you decide to go ahead: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
- To keep the clinical records of treated patients: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) and 9(2)(h) GDPR)
- To measure visits and how our ads perform: only with your cookie consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
How we receive form data
The form sends your request to the clinic's mailbox. The website does not collect files: you send us photos, panoramic X-rays and CT scans by email or on WhatsApp, and in that case your messages also pass through those services' servers.
Who we entrust data to
Your data is read only by our own team: the dentists and coordinators of the clinic in Tirana. To run the site we use providers that process data on our behalf and on our instructions:
- Vercel Inc. (USA): website hosting and form delivery
- Our email provider, which receives the requests
- Google Ireland Ltd and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd: only if you accept cookies, to measure visits and ads
- WhatsApp (Meta): only if you choose to message us on WhatsApp
- Hotel and transfer service: only your name and dates, if you book the package
We don't sell your data or pass it on to others for marketing.
Transfers outside the European Union
The clinic is in Albania, which is not part of the European Union: when you send us a request your data reaches Albania because that is where we assess and treat your case (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR). Some providers are based in the United States: transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Requests and files that don't lead to treatment: deleted within 24 months of our last contact, or sooner if you ask
- Clinical records of treated patients: for the period required by healthcare regulations
- Your cookie choice: 6 months, then we ask again
Your rights
At any time you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its use, receive it in a portable format or object to processing, and you can withdraw any consent you gave, by writing to info@albaniandentaltravel.com. We reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority of the country where you live (in the UK, the ICO) or to the Albanian Information and Data Protection Commissioner.
Minors
For a patient under 18, the request must be sent by a parent or legal guardian.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we update this page and the date at the top.
